Focused on continuous improvement
CIS is a privately owned school governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is composed of educators and business persons. It provides strategic support to ensure the ongoing strength and stability of the school. The Board takes a long-term perspective and protects the educational, financial, child safeguarding, and employment health of CIS. It relies on the Head of School to provide it with reports and proposals for school improvement, including as it relates to learning, well-being, global citizenship, and the school’s culture. The Senior Leadership Team led by the Head of School manages academic programming and the daily operations of CIS.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors includes: Dr. Lina Lim, Board Chairperson; Dr. Howard Stribbell, Board Vice-Chairperson; Mr. Enghuy Ang, Board Member and Chief Financial Officer; Ms. Donna Trafford, Board Member; Mr. Chhem Siriwat, Board Member; and H.E. Dr. Chhem Kieth Rethy, Board Advisor.
We acknowledge the contribution of Mr. John Crawford, who served on the Board of Directors from 2014 until his passing on May 12, 2025. His leadership and vision greatly contributed to our purpose and values.
SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM
The Senior Leadership Team includes: Ms. Leah Dushenski, Head of School; Ms. Michelle Jones, Elementary School Principal; Ms. Joanne Wynn, Middle School and High School Principal; Ms. Ishbel How, Senior Director, Early Years Program; and Mr. Jon Horsnell, Senior Director, Specialist Programs.
CIS is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Daun Yorke as Head of School, effective the 2026-27 academic year. As an experienced and passionate international educator, Ms. Yorke has held senior leadership roles in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Korea, and Vietnam, and brings deep expertise in the Canadian curriculum and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs.
