HIGH-QUALITY TEACHING AND LEARNING
At CIS, high-quality teaching occurs when the teacher’s ongoing analysis of the context, and the teacher’s decisions about which pedagogical knowledge and abilities to apply, result in optimum learning for all students. High-quality learning occurs when students actively construct meaning through inquiry, reflection, and making authentic connections. By applying their skills, knowledge, and attitudes, students are empowered to take charge of their learning, and actualize their individual potential as global citizens.
