We are happy to introduce you to our new Head of School for the 2018-2019 school year, Mr. Jason J. Caruana!
Jason, his wife and two children reside in Qindao, China where he is the Vice Principal and Head of Secondary at the Yew Chung Secondary School. In addition to his current role and previous experience living and teaching in Canada where he was born and raised, Jason has many years of international teaching and leading experience in Vietnam, China, South Korea and Egypt.
“My family and I are very pleased to be joining the Canadian International School of Phnom Penh in August 2018. I will be honoured to serve the CIS community as your Head of School.” – Mr. Caruana

We would also like to announce that our Vice Principal, Ms.Karen Holmes has been appointed to Principal of CIS and will work closely with Jason at our Koh Pich campus.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Karen will continue to implement her expertise in literacy and numeracy in CIS classrooms. Congratulations, Karen!
With over 35 years of teaching experience in Canada and over 10 years of experience internationally, Ms. Donna Trafford will continue to lead our CIS preschool campuses as our Preschool Principal.
Amidst all of the exciting new leadership changes at CIS, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our current Principal, Ms. Christine Bzdel for her 3 years of unwavering dedication to CIS students, staff and families; she will be incredibly missed!
