On November 30th, CIS participated in the first annual ISSAPP cross-country running meet. There were seven international schools represented with over 180 runners.
We had two teams take part: middle school girls and boys. Our runners had to run a 3 km race through a course they had never seen before. Through hard work and determination, our two teams won their divisions!
Winning is truly a team effort:
The middle school girls team placed 1st, 4th, 7th and 8th. The girls ran exceptionally well and held their positioning the whole race.
The middle school boys team came in 2nd, 4th, 10th, 15th and 20th. These boys ran an impressive race which allowed them to place so highly.
The middle school boys and girls teams both won first place in the total team standings!
In the elementary division, a Grade 4 student came in 6th for the 1.5 km race. This runner will be one to watch in the future.

Well done, everyone!
